Micksburg advances to GOFL final

The Micksburg Twins advanced to the Greater Ottawa Fastball League final on Thursday night with a 2-0 over the Vars Aces to win their best-of-three semi-final series two games to won.

Joran Graham earned the win, throwing a no-hitter, striking out 17 and walking one. Andy Barber took the loss, allowing eight hits, striking out 11 and walking one.

Micksburg scored both their runs in the top of the fifth. Dawson Pennock tripled off the base of the fence to lead off. Graham reached on a fielder's choice with Pennock safe on a dive back to third. Ryan McIntyre entered in to pinch run for Graham. A bloop double to shallow right field by Andy McIntyre scored Pennock. Joe Mick then grounded out, cashing Ryan Mac.

Brothers Andy (3) and Jason (2) McIntyre combined for five of Micksburg's hits. Jared Steege and Scott Conroy also had hits for the Twins.

Micksburg will face the winner of the Los Caballos - Pontiac Flyers series in the Final.
