West Carleton Electric U20 wins bronze

West Carleton Electric U20 finished with three wins and two losses to end up third at the ten team Ontario Amateur Softball Association U20 Men's Provincial tournament in Grafton this weekend.

The only two losses for WC were to the eventual champions Chatsworth Longhorns. 

On Saturday, the Electric defeated St. George Aces 5-0, loss to Chatsworth 3-2, and beat Hillsdale Haymakers 10-1. (Details here.)

On Sunday morning, WC got by Stone Mills Thrashers 14-13. After six and a half innings, the Electric were up 14-4, and the Thrashers scored nine in the bottom of seven to make it a nailbiter. Kaden Fowler got the win and had relief from Carter Wright and Gabe Brown, who had the save. Ethan Tombs and Brandon Barker pitched for Stone Mills. Colton Lecuyer and Carter Wright had homers for WC. Fowler and Finn Barton both had two singles and a double. Ethan Howard and Jack Barton had two hits as well for the Jr Trics.

That win put West Carleton into the semi-final game against Chatsworth. Chatsworth prevailed 15-7 in five innings. Brown took the loss in relief of Finn Barton for WC while Codee Rahn and Dakota McComb threw for the Longhorns. The game was 6-4 after four innings, but things got away from WC in the fifth. Conner Hopper had a double, triple and walk for West Carleton. Wright and Brown also had hits for WC.

Chatsworth went on to win the final, defeating Plattsville Lightning 5-4.
