Easton stays perfect, defeats Lomor 9-3

Team Easton defeated Manotick Lomor Printers 9 - 3 in Stittsville on Wednesday night.

Kyle Olson got his first win of the year for Easton, while Tony Riches took the loss. Lyle Schell also pitched for Lomor.

Dan Konkle who had the night off from pitching hit a monster grandslam and also single. Al Read also contributing to the Easton attack with a 3 run double. Randy Peck tripled and singled towards the winning cause.

As per the story, Kyle Olson had the win for Easton. Young fella, pitched well from what I heard.

Randy Peck hit a triple? A Manotick outfielder must have slipped and fallen when going after the ball! :-)

Peck hit a fly ball off the crossbar on the fence and back in play over the fielder`s head. In Fitzroy the second baseman would have played it and held him to a double but Stittsville is a little larger park....

Hey, you guys quit slammin' the size of Fitzroy's park.

I'll have you know it's 230ft to straight away centre and that's not so bad. A little shorter in the 'alleys' I admit, but the 'grey monster' in right presents its own challenges.

The upper diamond is larger (pretty much 235ft all around, but it would present a challenge for night games!
