Playoff games in the area tonight and tomorrow

Lots of playoff action tonight (Weds Aug 30) and tomorrow in local fastball leagues.

Game 3 of the best-of-three quarter-final between Manotick Lomor Printers and Carp I4C Victory in the GOFL is tonight at 9PM in Manotick. The winning team moves on to face Team Easton in the semi-finals.

Game 1 of the best-of-five semi-final between Stittsville 56ers and Fitzroy Harbour WC Electric in the GOFL is tonight at 8:30PM in Stittsville.

Game 3 of the best-of-three final in the RA League is tonight at the RA Centre between Quyon Flyers and Ottawa Valley Raiders. Raiders are looking for their fourth straight RA title. If the Flyers win tonight, look out Shawville Fair this weekend, I'm sure they will be on tour to celebrate. Actually, who's kidding who, they'll be on a tear at the Fair anyway. Good luck to both teams. Not sure of game time, feel free to "comment" on that.

The UOVMFL finals series between Pontiac Royals and Micksburg Twins gets started up Thursday in Micksburg at 8:30PM in the first game of the best-of-seven valley final.

The deciding game in the McNab/Braeside Junior Men's Fastball finals will also be held in Micksburg as part of a doubleheader on Thursday. Micksburg Junior Twins will face the Shawville Junior Snappers in the fifth and deciding game of the best-of-five series.

A bit of an update from the Loughborough League in the Kingston area - North Fred Kings defeated the Napanee Junior Express to advance the finals. They area awaiting the winner of the best-of-five semi-final between the Kingston Cowboys and Sydenham Amey's Drilling, which the Cowboys lead 2-1. They play tonight (Weds) in Sydenham at 8:30PM.
