Stittsville / WC Electric series preview

Stittsville 56ers and Fitzroy Harbour WC Electric will face off in a GOFL best of five semi-final series again this year. Last year when the teams met up in the semis, Stittsville swept the 'Trics 3 games straight with Dan Bradley getting all the wins.

Game 1 of the 2006 Semi-Finals series will be Weds Aug 31 at 8:30PM in Stittsville. Subsequent games to be determined.

Stittsville won the 2006 season series 2 games to 1. Here is how the two teams matched up this season:

Dan Bradley had the three hitter to win the game. Brad Porter took the loss with relief from Bud Hanlon. Darren Featherstone was 2-3 with 2RBIs in this one. Dan Jessiman had the other RBI for Stittsville. Jon Daley had the lone RBI for Fitzroy.

This was a well played quick game taking just under an hour. Fitzroy clean up hitter Shawn Rebertz executed a perfect squeeze bunt to score the game winning RBI. Adam Brown added an insurance RBI in the sixth to complete the scoring. Ryan Bond was 2-3 in this game for Stittsville.

Dan Bradley threw a five hit shutout with 12Ks on the night to get the win. Brad Porter took the loss with Bud Hanlon throwing in relief. Darren Featherstone was the offensive force for Stittsville, going 3 for 3 at the plate, driving in both Stittsville runs. Dan Jessiman scored both runs for Stittsville. Michael Cavanagh had two hits for the Electric.
