Darren Featherstone to Join Carp I4C Victory for ISC II Qualifier

from Shawn Williams

The Carp I4C Victory are pleased to announce that Darren Featherstone has been added to its roster for the Eastern Canada ISC II Qualifier to be held in Sydenham, Ontario from June 22-24.

Featherstone is another arm to add to the Carp rotation and he can also fill the role of Designated Player and play the middle infield.

Featherstone played his minor softball in the Stittsville 56ers system and played Midget for the Kanata Pirates from 1995-97. He went on to play one year of Junior for the Kemptville Thunder in 1998 before returning to Kanata to complete his Junior career with the Pirates from 1999-2002.

In 2000 he was picked up by the Alviston Indians to play at the NAFA World Series where he was a 2nd Team All-World Shortstop.

For the past two seasons he has played for the Stittsville 56ers Intermediate Men's team in the Greater Ottawa Fastball League (GOFL) and attended the ISC II Tournament of Champions held in Kitchener in 2006 with the 56ers.

Featherstone previously played for the Victory at the 2004 Elkland Softball Association Annual Labour Day Tournament. He will also participate for Carp in this year’s Jim Bradford Classic in Grafton form June 8-10.
