Carp I4C Victory wins ToC berth in Oswego, NY

The Victory team is heading to the 2008 ISC Tournament of Champions in Wisconsin after being named co-winners of the Oswego, NY ISC II Qualifier. Carp and CPI both won their semi-finals and decided to declare co-winners, since the top two teams in the tournament were given berths.
In Carp's first game, Bryan Brooks took the ball against Wayne Wells and the #7 ranked team, Waterdown Hammer. In a very close game, Carp came out on the losing end, despite a great effort with a final score of 4-3.
After a lengthy rain delay and some modifications to the tournament structure, Carp resumed play Saturday night against #20 PA Power in which Neil Cooke was on the mound for Carp. Another close game, with Carp coming out ahead 5-4.
In the quarter finals, Carp drew #22 ranked Glencoe, in which Neil Cooke pitched another great game with Carp winning that one 12-4.
Onto the semi-finals were Carp again faced Waterdown Hammer. Again Bryan Brooks had the ball for Carp where some early run support from some great hitting help out. The final score on this was 4-2 in an excellent played game.
