OASA Masters - uncancelled now?
from Eric Rosenquist
News of the death of the OASA Masters tournament may have been premature. The teams that had registered are looking at the possibility of playing in a single division with a mix of the “A (competitive)” and “B (recreational)” rules. A decision will be made on Wednesday afternoon once we see if there are enough teams to make the tournament worthwhile.
I’ve entered an Ottawa-area team, but the cancellation led to me losing several players who made alternate plans. I could use several additional players, so if you’re available and eligible, please get in touch with me.
The tournament is the weekend of July 18-20th and it’s in Niagara Falls Ontario. We don’t expect to have any games on the Friday night, so Friday will be a travel day. Hotel rooms have been reserved and will cost $75/night if you share with another player; less if you’re willing to split the room 3 or 4 ways.
If you’re turning 39 this calendar year, you’re eligible to play. There’s a chance that the rules will allow each team to have two or three “underage” players, where “underage” will probably be defined as turning 35+ this calendar year.
If you’re interested, please contact me ASAP by emailing both:

Let me know if you’re in the 39+ or 35+ age bracket and what position(s) you play.
