Wednesday GOFL roundup

with notes from Cory Morrison, Tony Riches, Trevor Wood, Eric Rosenquist

Team Easton 11 Ottawa Blitz 3 (5 innings)

Dan Konkle pitched the first two innings for Easton then Kyle Olson pitched the last 3, getting the win. Derick Bulley started for the Blitz and took the loss with Jamie Blakely seeing action in relief. Cory Morrison had 2 homers and 5 rbi, while Todd Fraser had a homer and 2 rbi.

Manotick Lomor Printers 7 Team Easton 6

Team Easton blew a 5-0 lead after 3 and lost their first game of the season to Manotick 7-6. The Printers scored two runs in the bottom of 7 to win the game on a Trevor Lahey hit. Lahey also had the pitching win while Dan Konkle took the loss. Stever Edgerton was 4 for 4 for Manotick. Randy Peck had a home run for Easton.

Stittsville 56ers 5 Carp I4C Victory 3

Stittsville won on a walk-off 2-run home run by Dan Jessiman in the bottom of the 7th. Carp had just come back from being down 3-2 to tie it 3-3 in the top of the 7th on a Mike Money RBI.

Mike Money also hit a two-run home run for Carp; Scott Herriott (solo) had a homer in addtion to Jessiman's walkoff for the 56ers.

Trevor Wood went the distance for Carp and Dan Bradley countered for Stittsville.
