Team Easton takes both over Blitz on Tuesday night

Game 1: Ottawa Team Easton 8 Ottawa Blitz 1
Dan Konkle started for Easton while the Blitz countered with Derick Bulley. Blitz opened the scoring in the top of the 2nd as Will Mood led off with a homerun over the left field fence. Easton tied the game in their half of the second as Cory Morrison doubled, advanced to 3rd on a passed ball then scored on a Lukas Kamps sac fly. Easton took the lead in the bottom half of the 5th as Chad Milne walked then scored on a Pat O'Connor triple. Randy Peck then singled to score O'Connor and put the home side up 3-1. The Blitz made a pitching change in the 6th and brought in Will Mood. Easton promptly sent 10 batters to the plate and scored 5 runs to invoke the mercy rule. The inning was highlighted by a 2run double off the bat of Chad Milne.

Dan Konkle started again for Easton while Jamie Blakely countered for the Blitz. Easton opened the scoring in their half of the second as Cory Morrison walked then Chad Milne homered to put the home side up 2-0. Easton added to their lead in the 3rd as Jeff Seed singled, advanced to second on Randy Peck fielder's choice then scored on a single off the bat of Cory Morrison. The Blitz got one back in the 4th when Will Mood singled and advanced to second on a passed ball. Mood took a big lead off second and the throw down from Randy Peck had him caught in a pickle but Easton ended up throwing the ball away and Mood plated to make the score 3-1. Dan Konkle then homered to lead off Easton's end of the 4th and cap the scoring at 4-1.
