Quyon stays undefeated with 8-0 victory

The Quyon COMBAT Flyers stayed undefeated with a 8-0 victory in six innings in Fitzroy Harbour on Friday night.

Joran Graham had the shutout win with a 2 hitter, while Steve Cavanagh took the loss.

Quyon started off right away, scoring three in the first inning. Matt Greer reached on an error. A sac bunt by Moe Laframboise moved Greer to second. Joe McCleary then reached base on an pop up to short that was misplayed. Greer scored from third on a Joran Graham sac fly. Drew Hathway stroked a homer to centre to put the Flyers up 3-0.

The Flyers scored again in the third. Greer doubled to lead off the inning and scored on a Joe McCleary single.

The visitors pushed a fifth run across in the fifth, after another Greer double and a Graham RBI single.

WC Electric got two baserunners in the bottom of fifth after a Bud Hanlon single and a Joey Sawyer walk, but Graham got out of the inning without allowing a run.

Quyon scored three in the top of sixth. Nick Armitage led off with a single that deflected of the glove of the shortsop. A Luke Young double scored Armitage. After Jordan Kearns was hit by a pitch, Greer doubled to score two.
