In the first inning, Tyler Cox led off with a single. He advanced to second on a single by Shannon Borho. T. Cox scored on on a base hit by Anil Hayne. 1-0 going into the bottom half of the first. NB: The Eagles only lead on the year.
But alas, there was no joy in Mudville... I mean Stittsville. The 56ers scored 7 in the bottom half of the first. Eagles hurler Ryan Cox was given the "Pat Roy leave him in" treatment. In the end, Eagles lose 9-1.
