Quyon tops WC Electric 7-0 on Thursday

The Quyon COMBAT Flyers bested West Carleton Electric in a 5-inning mercy game by a score of 7-0 in Quyon's home opener on Thursday night.

It was a frosty evening for ball, as a good crowd was on hand in anticipation of the annual Basket of Booze draw.

Matt Greer had the two-hit shutout win, while Steve Cavanagh took the loss.

Quyon scored a single in the second when Tim Craig reached on a single, took second on a wild pitch, and scored on a Troy Cote RBI single.

A six run outburst on seven hits in the bottom of the fourth sealed the win for the Flyers, as they sent 10 men to the plate. Kenny Fleck, Shawn Laframboise, Nick Armitage (2) and Matt Greer (2 run homer) all had RBIs.
