Stittsville splits doubleheader in Manotick

The Stittsville 56ers won one and lost one in the GOFL doubleheader in Manotick on Wednesday night.

In the first game, Stittsville defeated Barrhaven Broadway Blues 9-5. Darren Featherstone had the win while Trevor Lahey took the loss.

For the night cap, the Ottawa Blitz came from behind to beat the 56ers 11-6. Marcel Mondoux provides this recap:

The Blitz came back from being down 5-0 after 2 1/2 innings to score 5 in the bottom of the third to tie it. Stittsville went up 1 in the 4th until the Blitz scored 4 in the 5th and 2 in the 6th to end up with an 11-6 win.
