Barrahaven beats the Flyers in Quyon

The Barrhaven Broadway Blues came up with a big road win on Thursday in Quyon, beating the Combat Flyers 2-1 in a tight game.
Paul Ceppi took the win, throwing 4 innings, while Jason Smith earned the save with three innings in relief. Drew Hathway in his season debut was the hard luck loser. Matt Greer hit a solo homer for Quyon and was 2 for 3 with double. Lindsay Medynski had the lone Barrhaven RBI on a fielder's choice and the other run was on an error.
For their oustanding pitching performance, Ceppi and Smith share the Caveman's Choice player of the game honours.
