Barrhaven and Stittsville split doubleheader in Manotick - UPDATED

At the GOFL doubleheader in Manotick on Wednesday night the Stittsville 56ers and Barrhaven Broadway Blues split the games.

In the first one of the night, Barrhaven won 4-1. Jason Smith had the win - he allowed 5 hits and one walk, striking out 13. Darren Featherstone took the loss allowing 7 hits, walking one and striking out four. Trevor Scott saw action in relief for the 56ers. Chad Hargrove went three for three for the Blues scored two runs and had an RBI to earn the Caveman's Choice as player of the game.

In game two, Stittsville prevailed 5-3 with Featherstone earning the win tossing a 4 hitter, walking three and striking out six. Paul Ceppi took the loss giving up 7 hits, walking two and striking out 7. Scott Herriot had another good game at the plate for the 56ers, going 1 for 2 and walking twice and cashing an RBI to earn the Caveman's Choice nod in the second game of the doubleheader.
