Quyon and Barrhaven tie at 4 UPDATED with details

info from Edgy Edgerton and Moe Laframboise

Quyon Combat Flyers and Barrhaven Broadway Blues tied 4-4 in GOFL play on the Quebec side on Tuesday night. Paul Ceppi threw for the complete game for the Blues. Joran Graham started for Quyon but came out after the first as he was not feeling well, meaning Dan Konkle made an appearance pitching in the GOFL for the first time in a three season. Konks took over for a few innings before Graham reentered to finish the game.

Nick Armitage got Quyon on the board first with a solo homerun in the 2nd inning.

Barrhaven scored two to go back up 2-1, after a nasty hop eluded the shortstop.

The Flyers responded with three in the bottom half. Dennis McCleary tripled down the right field line, and scored on Shawn Laframboise's misplayed grounder to short with one out. Matt Greer then hit a two run bomb to give Quyon a 4-2 lead.

The Blues tied it up in the 4th. After a walk, a base hit to right field took a nasty hop and got by the fielder and went to the fence, putting runners on 2nd and 3rd. Joe Allan cashed them both with an RBI single. Graham reentered to close the inning.

There was no further scoring as the game ended 4-4.

Caveman's Choice for player of the game is shared by Paul Ceppi of the Blues (complete game pitching) and Matt Greer of the Flyers who was 2 for 4 with a two run homer and a double.
