Stittsville Midget Girls win bronze in Niagara

July 3rd-5th the Stittsville 56er’s Midget Girls team started their tournament play off with winning the bronze medal at the 2015 Niagara Teddy Bear Tournament.  The girls finished the round robin with a 3 and 1 record.  After a nail biter in the quarter finals losing to Kitchener, the girls pulled out a commanding win against a team from Buffalo, to take 3rd place winning the bronze medal.

The team travels to Port Perry this coming weekend, July 24th-26th for the Provincial Qualifier, good luck girls!

With the regular season winding down in the Ottawa Valley Women’s Fastball League, upcoming games are, Monday, July 20th, Carp diamond vs Quyon; Wednesday, July 22nd, vs Kars (7:30pm); Monday, July 27th, Carp diamond vs Auckland; Wednesday, July 29th, Carp diamond vs Vars; Monday, August 17th, Carp diamond vs Ottawa.  All games in Carp are a 8:30pm start.
