GOFL playoff situation - updated after Thursday games

updated after Thursday games

The year's Greater Ottawa Fastball League playoffs are divisional. The top finisher in each division will play the fourth place team in a best of three, with the second and third place finishers also playing off best of three. Each division will have a best of three playoff to declare winners of the East and West divisions, then those teams will play off for the GOFL title in a best of three series.

At this point, the East playoff picture is known.

1. Manotick Brewers 11-6 (no games remaining)
2. Orleans Rebels 7-6-2 (two games remaining vs West Carleton and Valley)
3. Kars Aces 7-9-1 (no games remaining)
4. Osgoode Chiefs 5-9-2 (one game remaining vs Micksburg)

Manotick will play Osgoode in the first round, and Orleans will play Kars.

In the West, first place is still up for grabs.

1. Quyon 12-4 (one game remaining vs Micksburg)

4. West Carleton Electric 2-12-2 (one game remaining vs Orleans)

The August 5th game between Micksburg and Quyon to be played during the U23 Nationals in Carp will be a huge game to determine first place in the division.
