Shawville 150 features fastball

The Shawville District Recreation Association is putting on Shawville 150 Day on Saturday July 15 and it features fastball.

The event kicks off with a minor ball game at noon. Following that at 1 p.m., West Carleton Electric U20 will play Stittsville 56ers U17 in a game that will count in the Glen Cairn Men's Fastball League standings. The 56ers have three members of their team from Shawville.

Next up is a women's game with the Quyon Flyers playing Micksburg at 3 p.m. Wrapping up the schedule are two league games for the Shawville Men's Fastpitch League with the Twins vs Brewers at 5 p.m. and the Athletics vs. Royals at 7 p.m.

There will be a bar, a BBQ, kids' activities and live music during the event.
