Orleans advances to GOFL finals

The Orleans Rebels won Game 2 of their Greater Ottawa Fastball League playoffs semi-final  series on Monday night in Shawville 3-0 over the Quyon Flyers, to sweep the series and advance to the Final.

Andy Barber earned the win, his fourth of the playoffs and third by shutout. Barber only allowed one hit for the second straight game. Drew Hathway took the loss with relief from Matt Greer.

Andy Barber helped his cause by hitting a solo homer. He also scored another run after hitting a double and then being cashed on a Moises Del Corral double to centre. The other run was scored by Derek Barber who tripled then scored on a wild pitch. 

Greer had the lone hit for the Flyers.

The Rebels await the winner of the Kars vs Micksburg series. Kars is up 1-0 in the best of three match up, with Game 2 in Manotick on Tuesday September 26 at 7:30 p.m.
