Quyon advances to GOFL semi-finals

The Quyon Flyers advanced to the Greater Ottawa Fastball League playoff semi-finals with a 7-0 win over the Osgoode Chiefs on Monday night to take their best of three series two games to none.

Matt Greer threw three innings for Quyon while Drew Hathway tossed two in relief. Bobby Holmes got the start for Osgoode and had relief from Matt McKay.

Quyon scored six runs in the second. Evan Atkinson drew a bases loaded walk to score Greer. Lane McMurtry's hard ground to second was misplayed and Luke Young scored. That was followed by a Shawn Laframboise grand slam.

The Flyers will now face the Orleans Rebels in the semi-final.
