Kars wins rain shortened game

There was a doubleheader scheduled for the Greater Ottawa Fastball League in Manotick on Wednesday but only one game got partially played before the weather ruined things.

Kars Aces were up 2-1 over Los Caballos after four complete when the game was rained out. By the league rule, the game will count in the standings.

Cory Alkerton had the win and Will Lowe took the loss. Jackson Marshall, a teenaged rookie player, drove in both runs for the Aces.

The late game between Osgoode Chiefs and Manotick Brewers was rained out.

The previously cancelled game earlier in the season between Osgoode and the Quyon Flyers will be made up tomorrow (Thursday) at 8 p.m. in Quyon.
