Brewers even series

The Manotick Brewers won 4-0 over the Quyon Flyers in Greater Ottawa Fastball League first round playoff action on Wednesday night in Manotick to even their best-of-three series at one game each.

Luc D'Entremont had the complete game shutout win, allowing five hits, walking one and striking out ten. Matt Greer threw for the Flyers, allows eight hits, walking three and striking out two.

For Manotick, Jack Becker had a hit and a walk and scored twice. Ryan Clare was two for two with a walk, an RBI and run scored. Riley Dunbar was three for three and an RBI and run scored. Trevor Beaulieu and Ty Alexander also had hits for Manotick.

Hunter Beauregard (2), Lane McMurtry, Cade Kuehl and Bennett Rusenstrom had hits for Quyon. 

Game three of the series is scheduled for 8 p.m. at the Shawville R.A. at 8 p.m. on Thursday August 14.
