Micksburg 1-1 after day one at Canadians
The Micksburg Twins won a game and lost a game on day one at their first ever Softball Canada Men's Canadian Championship in Kitchener.
The Twins first game on Wednesday was a 7-0 loss to the Sooke, BC Loggers. Tyson Barkman and Aaron Emery pitched a combined five inning perfect game. Wade Kewageshig and Andy Barber threw for Micksburg.
Micksburg rebounded with a win to move to .500 as they defeated host Kitchener Hallman Cubs 2-1 in the late game. The Twins did not get a hit, but scored two runs from runners aboard on walks then scored on the same wild pitch. Joran Graham got the win and Kyle Linton was the losing pitcher.
Next up on Thursday are games against Saskatoon Jacks and Toronto Batmen.
