56ers defeat WC Electric 6-2 in ToC tune-up
Stittsville defeated WC Electric in Fitzroy Harbour on Wednesday night by a score of 6-2 in a tune up for both teams for the big tourney in Kitchener.
The 56ers scored 4 in the first on some hard hits and two WC errors and didn't look back after that.
Dan Bradley had the win, throwing six innings allowing two runs, six hits, walking three ans striking out eight. Matt Greer who has been picked up by the 56ers for the tourney threw the final inning three up three down.
Bud Hanlon took the loss, allowing six runs on six hits, walking one and striking out three in 2.2 innings. Brad Porter finished the game, not allowing a run, three hits, striking out three, and walking none.
For Stittsville, Matt Greer was 2-4, Scott Parsons was 2-3 with a two run homer, and Kevin McGuire (a pickup from Carp for the tourney) was 2-4.
For WC, Michael Cavanagh was 1-4 with a double and Troy Wilson was 1-3 with a double. Steve Cavanagh was 2-3.
