GOFL Week 9

Here's what's on tap for Week 9 in the Greater Ottawa Fastball League.

Today (Canada Day), the Greely DNTW Eagles and Team Easton play in a league game in the village of Kenmore as part of their holiday celebrations. First pitch is (ok was) at 4pm.

Wednesday sees I4C Victory going to Stittsville to face Team Easton at 8:30. Manotick Arena Diamonds host a doubleheader on Wednesday with Greely facing the Ottawa Blitz at 7pm and West Carleton Electric facing the Manotick Printers at 9pm.

Thursday sees two doubleheader match ups. Stittsville 56ers are in Orleans to face the Gators for two games, including one which is a rain out make up. Due to the late start of 8:30pm, the plan is for both games to be 5 innings. In Carp on Thursday, I4C and Manotick Printers will play a double bubble. The first game will be a continuation of a rain-halted game earlier in the season, starting at 7pm, with the second full regularly scheduled game to follow.

Of course coming up this weekend is the Gil Read Tournament at Carlington Park, with 8 teams competing.
