Greely and Carp split doubleheader on Monday

from info from Eric Rosenquist

After a delay to get the diamonds in shape, the games got underway.

Greely won the first game 5-1. Shannon Borho went the distance for the win, Neil Cooke took the loss for Carp. Greely scored 4 in the bottom of the 4th inning to break the game open, and Carp was unable to get much going offensively off Borho.

In the second game the Carp bats came alive early, scoring 9 runs in the bottom of the first inning en route to a 15-0 three-inning mercy. Shannon Borho started for Greely and was relieved by Ryan Cox after 2/3 inning. Trevor Wood pitched the shut-out for Carp.
