"Heritage Day" in Chapeau, QC

Looking forward to this Sunday's event in Chapeau. Should be a great time. Here is some information on the day.

From Len Burger

Heritage Day

The Municipality of Allumette Island will be celebrating its heritage in Chapeau Quebec on August 3, 2008. Food and refreshments are available all day. Several different events will take place throughout the day including and antique car show, many tours of the Island, music by local entertainers, lumberjack show , children’s games, 3-pitch family games and of course the main event a fastball game between Quyon COMBAT Flyers and West Carleton Electric at 3:00 p.m. This event will take place at Harrington Hall, Chapeau Arena and the Chapeau Ball Field.

If you want more information of this event, please refer to http://www.isle-aux-allumettes.com/Heritage_Day_English.htm

The best way to get to the ball field is to take HWY-17 and turn right onto CR-40 Greenwood Rd (located on the top of Meath Hill just before Pembroke). Follow this road until you reach the Quebec turn off (just before the Esso and Ultramart gas stations) Turn right on HWY-148 and cross the Ottawa River and continue approximately 3 or 4 kms and turn left on Chemin de Pembroke. Stay on this road until you reach Chapeau where you will see the ball field on the right.
