The Barrhaven Broadway Blues (2-1) defeated Carp I4C Victory (1-2-1) in the second game of the GOFL doubleheader in Manotick on Wednesday night by a score of 6-1.

Another cold night of ball saw Barrhaven Broadway Blues defeat Carp I4C Victory 6-1 Wednesday night in the second game of Carp`s doubleheader at the Manotick Arena.
Trevor Lahey (1-1) had a very strong outing for the Blues, allowing only three hits and an unearned run in the complete game win. Kyle Olson (1-1) took the loss in relief of Dan Konkle, both pitchers having thrown complete games earlier in the evening.
Barrhaven opened the scoring with two runs in the fourth, greeting Olson with four consecutive hits and a walk before he escaped the bases loaded jam.
They added a single run in the fifth before putting up three more in their last at bat.
Steve Edgerton continued his hot start with three hits and two runs batted in. Shawn Simzer scored the lone Carp run, reaching on a dropped fly ball, then coming around to score on a passed ball and another error.
