Gil Read Memorial Tournament has a new venue - Carp

There have been some new developments regarding the 3rd Annual Gil Read Memorial Tournament. As many of you are aware, the City of Ottawa has increased their prices for the diamonds around the City. The contract we received this year also includes HST and totals $5,552.18 to rent Carlington Park for one weekend.
Consequently we have decided to change venues to decrease our costs. Therefore, the tournament will still be held July 23rd, 24th & 25th, however they will now be at the Carp Fairgrounds in the town of Carp, 10 minutes north of Kanata. There will not be a women’s division. Everything else will remain the same, including the entry fee and the prizes.

3rd Annual Gil Read Memorial Men's Fastpitch Tournament
The 3rd Annual Gil Read Memorial Men’s Fastpitch tournament will be held at the Carp Fairgrounds in Carp Ontario the weekend of July 23rd, 24th and 25th 2010.
The first 12 teams will be accepted with entry fee set at $450.00
Prize money will be handed out as follows:
1st Place $1800.00
2nd Place $700.00
Tournament is open to all players with pitchers required to be of ISC II caliber.
Beer tent onsite!
