Kars Aces Defeat Ottawa Blitz 7-0

Kars Aces (1-1) notched their first win of the season with a 7-0 of the Ottawa Blitz (0-1-1) at the North Gower Community Park on Tuesday night.

Kars opened the scoring in the first as Christian Knapp hit a lead off triple and scored on Kevin Chevrier's fielder's choice. A single by Dave Tubman followed by two walks to Chad Milne and Cory Morrison led to a 2 run single by Andy Davey to put the home side up 3-0.

Kars added to their lead in the 3rd when Corey Alkerton's sac fly scored Dave Tubman who had walked to lead off the inning then Scott Marion singled to bring home Milne who had earlier singled.

Cory Morrison hit a 2 run double in the 4th to score Knapp and Milne to put the Aces up 7 after 4 innings. Brad Porter retired the side in the 5th to end the game due to the mercy rule.
