Caveman to be called up to the bigs

FITZROY HARBOUR, MAY 26:

Fitzroy Atom Softball Team #1 has announced that the Caveman will be called up to West Carleton Minor House League Softball action versus Carp Team #3 on Monday May 31 at the Fitzroy Harbour Community Centre.

Fitzroy Team #1 will be lacking players May 31 due to something known as a "Brownie Fly Up", which requires the attendance of three of the team's female players.

The Caveman has had strong start to his season in the minors so far, toiling for Team Vanilla in the Fitzroy T-Ball league. Reports indicate that he has been hitting the ball well all year, has managed to run the bases in the correct order every time and has even made an unprecedented force play on second base to record an out - the first in many seasons in the T-ball minors.

When contacted by fitzroyfastball.blogspot.com, the Caveman said: "Daddy, do I get to play real ball Daddy?". Mrs Fastball was unavailable for comment on the call up but did mention a recent outbreak of head lice in the area and recommended that the Caveman and Fitzroy Junior share a batting helmet between them.
