Kars 7 Blitz 3

Kars Aces defeated the Ottawa Blitz 7-3 in GOFL play on Wednesday night in Manotick. Fortunately the rain held off until the game ended.

Chris Hall picked up his 1st victory in the GOFL going 4 2/3 innings allowing 2 runs on 3 hits. Brad Porter got the save working 2 1/3 innings giving up 1 run on 1 hit. Derek Bulley took the loss giving up 7 runs on 10 hits.

Kars opened the scoring in the 1st as Kristian Knapp led off with a double and scored on two passed balls. Two batters later Chad Milne walked and advanced to 3rd on a Cory Morrison single then scored on Andy Davey's single.

The Blitz answered in the 3rd as Derek Bulley hit an Rbi single to make the score 2-1.

The Aces added to their lead in the 5th as Chad Milne reached on a FC, Cory Morrison doubled, Andy Davey hit into a FC to score Milne and Scott Marion hit a 3-Run bomb to make it a 6-1 game.

The home side added a single run in the 5th and the teams exchanged runs in the 6th to make the final 7-3
