As reported earlier, the Donnacona Blue Sox won the Jim Bradford Tournament in Cobourg on the weekend. The Blue Sox have now been confirmed as entering the Gil Read Tournament in Carp later in July.
Other tournament winners on the weekend included the Ottawa Valley Heat, aka Team 8, aka the Fitzroy Midgets in the eight team Fitzroy Harbour Men's Fastball League Annual Tournament. They went 3-1 to take the title, winning the A-final 14-1.
At the Midget Invitational in Waterloo, the Wiarton Red Devils won the A-final 7-0 over the Sydenham midgets. Andy Barber of WC Electric throws for Sydenham.
