ISC World Tournament starts today
The 2012 ISC World Tournament starts today if the weather in Midland, Michigan will cooperate. Best of luck to the local guys taking part:
Joe McCleary and Matt Greer from the Quyon Combat Flyers are playing for the #36 ranked Parry Island Hawks from northern Ontario. Their first game is scheduled for 5pm against Pete's Blues from Illinois.
Cory Alkerton from the Kars Aces is pitching for the unranked Kitchener Outlaws. They are supposed to start at 3pm today versus Big Apple Bagels, a local team.
Dan Loney of the Carp I4C Victory is on the Midland Explorers host team, ranked #9 going in. They have a bye to the second round and play at 7pm on Sunday against the winner of NY Bombers vs Sweaburg, ON Crush.
Joran Graham from the Flyers is pitching for the #15 Scarborough Force, who also have a bye until Sunday, starting at 9pm against the winner of Staten Island, NY Swashbucklers and Westerville, Ohio Capitals.
Joel Langford from I4C is playing for the #19 Toronto Gators, recent winners of the Gil Read Memorial Tournament. The Gators were scheduled to play the Rocky Mountain Rebels of Colorado but they bailed on the tourney so they ended up getting a bye to Sunday.
If I missed anyone let me know.
