Kars squeaks out 1-0 win over Quyon
The Kars Aces took a two games to one series in lead in their GOFL playoff round against the Quyon Flyers after a 1-0 victory in Manotick on Wednesday night.
Brad Porter was the winning pitcher, with his second straight shut out over Quyon. Matt Greer took the loss, despite only allowing three hits.
Unfortunately for the Flyers, one of those hits was a Nick Ellis solo shot in the third that stood up as the game winner.
Game four of the series is Thursday night in Quyon, starting at 8pm. If Kars wins that game, they will advance to the Final Weekend Showdown in Fitzroy Harbour. If Quyon wins game four, then the final game of the series will be played Friday night at 7pm in Fitzroy Harbour as part of the Showdown event.
