GOFL Week #5
Week five of the Greater Ottawa Fastball League has five games on the schedule from Tuesday to Friday.
Tuesday night at 8:30 pm in Fitzroy Harbour sees the Kanata Pirates (2-1-1) in to play West Carleton Electric (1-3). Also on Tuesday, I4C Victory (2-3) travels to Quyon to face the Flyers (0-2-1). With the Ferry still closed, first pitch has been pushed back to 8 pm.
Wednesday doubleheader in Manotick sees Stittsville 56ers (3-1-2) in to face Kars Aces (3-3) at 7 pm and I4C Victory at 9 pm.
Friday night up in Micksburg will be part of a local fastball showcase. At 7 pm there will be a showdown between the West Carleton Squirts (featuring Fitzroy Junior) and the Micksburg Squirts (featuring J. Mick Jr.). Fastball fans will be pleasantly surprised at the high level of play that will be on display by these 11 and 12 year olds. Following that, the grown ups of the GOFL (in age only) take the field as West Carleton Electric will play the Micksburg Twins (3-1) at 8:30 pm.
There will be more GOFL and minor ball games in Micksburg as part of the event on Saturday. That schedule is still being nailed down, but will be posted here once finalized.
