Eastern Ontario teams at OASA Select softball
Select softball is for minor players at a higher calibre than house league, but not quite at the level of "rep". Local house league associations put together "select" teams from players participating in their program. There were several eastern Ontario teams that had some success at the Provincial tournaments for select boys teams which are held jointly by the Ontario Select Softball Tournament Association and the Ontario Amateur Softball Association.
Squirt: At the U12 boys level, Westport won silver in Bracebridge at the Provincials.
Peewee: This tournament was held in Unionville. West Carleton U14 boys participated (with Fitzroy Junior) but finished out of the medals at 0-3.
Bantam: McNab / Braeside were hosts for the U16 boys provincial championship at select. Micksburg earned silver, while Osgoode took bronze. West Carleton finished just out of the medals at fourth.
Midget: Stittsville, which had some West Carleton boys on the roster as the teams have a joint house league program at that age group, won gold at the Midget Boys Provincials in Topham Park (Toronto), going undefeated.
