Stittsville 16 West Carleton 7
Stittsville 56ers blew by West Carleton Electric in Greater Ottawa Fastball League play by a score of 16-7 in Tuesday night action in Fitzroy Harbour.
Luc D'Entremont got the win for the 56ers with relief from Adam Smith. Steve Cavanagh took the loss for the home team.
After scoring two runs in each of the first and second innings, the 56ers put up seven runs in the third to take a commanding 11-1 lead. The Electric battled back with a six run inning in the bottom of the third to make it 11-7, but the visiting team sealed the win with an additional five runs in the top of the seventh.
Aaron Amo was 3 for 5 for Stittsville, while Scott Jessiman had a grand slam. D'Entremont was 3 for 4 with a three run homer and John Craig was 2 for 5..
Derek Barber had a solo homer for Fitzroy, while Michael Cavanagh was 2 for 4 with a double and 2 RBIs, Shawn Rebertz was 3 for 4 and an RBI and Adam Brown was 2 for 2 with a walk and double.
