Napanee finishes second at U15 eliminations

The Napanee Express finished second (five wins, two losses) at the Ontario Amateur Softball Assocation U15 Boys' Elimination tournament in Grafton over the weekend. Napanee made it to the final and beat the Wilmot Thunder, but had to beat them twice, and fell in the rematch. The Express earned a berth to the Softball Canada U15 Championship to be held in Wilmot, ON from August 3 to 7. Bryce Rebertz of Arnprior and Finn Barton of Kinburn (injured) both are on the Express.

The Stittsville 56ers entered a boys' elimination tournament for the first time in many years. The U15 56ers, coached by former GOFLer Al Read, lost both their games and will participate in the OASA Provincial B event.
