Osgoode and Kars win on Wednesday

The Osgoode Chiefs and the Kars Aces were the winning teams at the Greater Ottawa Fastball League doubleheader in Manotick on Wednesday.

The early game saw the Chiefs get by the Manotick Brewers 11-2. Matt McKay was the winning pitcher and he had relief from Cory Baldwin. Adam Smith took the loss. Cole Hodges had a homer for Osgoode.

The night cap had the Aces double West Carleton Electric 6-3. Nick Ellis earned the win and had a good night as a batter. Gabe Brown took the loss. West Carleton had a 3-2 lead after five and half. However, Jordan Shipclark started things off in bottom of 6 with a solo homerun, the first of 4 runs to give Ellis some run support in the seventh.
