Orleans wins, Barber strikes out 17

The Orleans Rebels won 5-2 over West Carleton Electric in Greater Ottawa Fastball League play in Fitzroy Harbour on Tuesday night.

Andy Barber had the win, allowing four hits and striking out 17. Barber also hit a two-run homer. Ben Broek took the loss, striking out 12.

After Barber's two run shot in the first put the Rebels ahead 2-0, West Carleton cut the lead in half in the fourth when Trevor Barton singled and Conner Hopper tripled. 

The Rebels added to their lead with three in the top of seven. Spencer Rodd walked, Jefferson Roman singled and Barber's single drove in a run. After a strikeout, Andre Mainville drove in two more runs.

The Trics could only respond with one in the bottom of the seventh. Jeff Campbell singled with two out, advanced to third when Neil Murphy reached on an error and scored on missed pop up.
