Quyon wins on the road in Micksburg (details added)

The Quyon Flyers won 8-3 on the road in Micksburg in Greater Ottawa Fastball League action on Thursday night.

Matt Greer earned the win, while Joran Graham took the loss with relief from Noah Fleurie.

Micksburg got on the board first in the bottom of one. Andy McIntyre singled, advanced to second on a wild pitch, and scored on Joran Graham's ground ball that eluded the shortstop.

The score remained 1-0 until the top of 3. After back to back fly outs, back to back walks put two on for Dennis McCleary who singled to score one. After a Cade Kuehl walk to load the bases, Drew Hathway singled to give the Flyers a 3-1 lead.

Quyon added one in the 4th. Bennett Rusenstrom led off with a walk and advanced to third on Todd Hearty's single. He scored on Greer's ground out to first.

The Flyers extended the lead to 5-1 in the fifth before Micksburg answered with two more in the bottom half. McCleary scored on a Hathway RBI single after reaching by HBP and advancing to 2nd on a wild pitch. Ryan McIntyre reached with a bunt single and scored on Andy McIntyre's base hit. Andy would come around to score on a Matty McIntyre steal of second with runners on the corners.

Fleurie came on in relief in the 6th and Quyon put the game out of reach. After a walk, back-to-back-to-back doubles and a long RBI single from Hathway again plated 4 more to make it 9-3 where it remained for the rest of the game.
