West Carleton wins Harbour Days Classic
West Carleton Electric won the Harbour Days Classic game in Fitzroy on Thursday night by a score of 11-0 over the Osgoode Chiefs.
There was a good crowd on hand as part of the annual Fitzroy Harbour summer festival to see Adam Rueckwald throw a three-hit shutout for the victory. Todd Templeton took the loss with relief from Nolan Holmes.
The Electric scored their first run in the bottom of the first. Trevor Barton walked, moved to second when Sean Lecuyer reached on an error, and scored on Dylan Rorwick's RBI single.
The home team put up 10 runs in the third, which included a three-run homer from Rorwick.
