Grainers, Aces win on Friday at the Shootout

Results from Friday night at the Carp Shootout. 

Ott⁰awa Valley Grains 5

West Carleton Electric U20 0

The Grainers beat the Junior Trics 5-0 in the first game of the night. Alex Baillergeon, a pick up from Team Québec U23, got the win, striking out 15 and allowing only two hits. Gabe Brown threw five innings for WC with two innings of scoreless relief from Blake Bramburger. 

Dylan Rorwick had a two run homer for the Grainers. Sean Lecuyer also had two RBIs for OVG. Conner Hopper and Alex Strathern had the two hits for WC.

Vars Aces 8

Micksburg Twins 5

Andy Barber was the winning pitcher and hit a homer in the first for the Aces. Joran Graham took the loss.

Drew Hathway had a homer for the Twins.

The Aces were down in the top of the seventh, but a grand slam by pick up Colton Lecuyer put Vars in charge.

Round robin play starts at 10 a.m. tomorrow with the playoff round starting at 4 p.m.
