U23 Canadians moves to playoff round UPDATED

The Softball Canada U23 Men's Canadian Championship is being held in Saskatoon with seven teams participating. 

The Toronto Junior Batmen, the defending champions who went through the Ontario Amateur Softball Association elimination tournament undefeated at 5-0, also haven't lost at Canadians and have six wins. They will play Nova Scotia Marshall Workplace Law Selects (5-1) in the 1st vs 2nd game today at 5:30 p.m. Eastern. The winner advances to the Final on Wednesday at 12:45 Eastern, the loser plays at 10 p.m. tonight. 

Tyler Branchaud of the GOFL's Manotick Brewers plays for the Batmen and Colton Lecuyer of West Carleton Electric was added for the event. Branchaud was #7 overall in batting average hitting .471. Nova Scotia's roster has many of the players who won bronze at the U20 Men's Canadians in Carp.

Finishing third (3-3) by virtue of a tie-breaker was the Tavistock, ON Merchants. They will play the winner of #7 Okanese, SK Thunderstrikers (0-6) and #6 host Delisle, SK Pride (1-5) at 2:30 p.m. Eastern. Brothers Gavin and Connor Brooks of Napanee play for the Merchants.

The fourth vs fifth game at 12:15 p.m. EDT will feature two 3-3 teams - Moorfrost Mariners of Newfoundland against New Hamburg, ON Mustangs. Conner Hopper of West Carleton Electric was added by the Mustangs for the event. Hopper was #10 overall in batting average with a .429 average
