Kars Aces win at Newboro

Kars beat Carp 3-2 in the championship game of the Newboro tournament. Brad Porter went the distance for Kars; Neil Cooke and Chad Hargrove split the pitching for Carp.
Carp jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, getting a pair of runs in the top of the 1st. Kars tied it in the fourth, then got the go-ahead run in the bottom of the 6th on an RBI single by Darren McCartney.
Earlier in the day, Carp defeated Williamsburg 3-2 in semi-final #1. Trevor Lahey pitched a complete game for Williamsburg, with Chad Hargrove and Neil Cooke splitting the game for Carp. Kars defeated Sydenham in semi-final #2. Dan Bradley went the distance for Kars plus hit a no-doubter high over the fence in left centre.
