GOFL Thursday night round up
There were four GOFL games played on Thursday night - three in Carp, one in Quyon.
Micksburg 3 Manotick 1
In a neutral site game played in Carp, (Micksburg home game), the Twins defeated the Blitz 3-1. Joran Graham was the winning pitcher, while Tony Riches took the loss in his Blitz debut with relief from Gord Flannery. The Blitz were up 1-0 after 4 2/3, but Micksburg came back for the win.
Carp 6 Fitzroy Harbour 5
In a game that had a few lead changes, I4C Victory came back to beat West Carleton Electric 6-5, with a walk off double to cash the winning run in the bottom of the seventh. Neil Cooke earned the win, while Steve Cavanagh took the loss.
Carp 6 Manotick 1
I4C Victory won their second game of the night with a 6-1 win over the Blitz. Cody Price was the winning thrower for Carp, while Jamie Blakely was the loser pitcher.
Quyon 12 Barrhaven 4
The Flyers got back on the winning side of things with a big 12-4 mercy rule win in five innings over the Blues. Matt Greer was the WP, Paul Ceppi had the loss with relief from Trevor Lahey. Joe McCleary's grand slam for the Flyers in the fifth ended things.
