GOFL round up for Wednesday night
The Greater Ottawa Fastball League had three games on Wednesday night.
West Carleton Electric 2 I4C Victory 0
In the first game of the Manotick doubleheader, WC Electric shut out I4C Victory 2-0, with Andy Barber throwing the two-hit shutout. Neil Cooke threw well in taking the loss, allowing only six hits. Mike Cavanagh and Neil Murphy had the runs batted in for Fitzroy.
Kars Aces 7 West Carleton Electric 0
The second game of the doubleheader did not go so well for the Trics, as the Aces prevailed 7-0. Brad Porter had the win on the slab, scattering four hits. Jeff Barber took the loss for Fitzroy. Cory Alkerton had a two run homer for the Aces. Lukas Kamps had a two RBI single for Kars.
Stittsville 56ers 10 Micksburg Twins 3
At the Grove, the first place 56ers stayed hot, beating the visiting Twins 10-3. Darren Featherstone was the winning pitcher, while Matt McIntyre took the loss with relief from Corey Costello. Scott Jessiman had a homer for Stittsville.
